ALCOA — Tyler “Bubba” Jeffries, the senior offensive lineman at Alcoa, is no stranger to the spotlight. From playing high school football as a 6-foot-4 eighth-grader in 2018 to the intense and innumerable recruiting camps that followed, Jeffries has grown accustomed to all eyes being on him.
And they zeroed in on him one more time Tuesday afternoon, as the 6-5, 305-pounder made his college verbal commitment.
