ALCOA – Jaylyn Halliburton is the senior statesperson of Alcoa’s softball team, and she’d love a repeat of last season.
The first baseman and Milligan signee is the lone senior returning starter from the 2022 Class AA state championship team, which went 29-13.
“I think we’re very strong this year,” Halliburton said after Tuesday’s 15-0, five-inning victory over visiting Midway. “We definitely lost some talent last year, but I think we filled the places nicely and we have a great opportunity to return to state and hopefully win it all again.”
