CLINTON – Though the postseason is still two months away, the Anderson County football team found itself in must-win mode Friday night.
Given how close the Mavericks came to upsetting Powell in Week 1 and given the legit players in Anderson County’s lineup, an 0-3 start to the season would have been hard to fathom had Anderson County lost Friday night.
But Walker Martinez threw for 352 yards and four touchdowns, and AC got in the win column, pulling away from Fulton in the second half for a 43-20 victory.
