CLINTON — Waylon LaRue waited his turn to carry the responsibility of being Anderson County’s starting running back.
The 5-foot-9 senior was buried behind talented running backs like Nick Moog and Gavin Noe. It meant great learning opportunities, but also fewer reps for the speedy LaRue.
Now, in the 2024 season, LaRue’s time has come for the Mavericks.
