JOHNSON CITY — Anderson County seniors Walker Martinez’s and Braden Miller’s performance against Science Hill is something all QB-WR duos hope for.
Miller was electric all night while reeling in four touchdowns with his seven receptions.
Martinez’s connection with Miller was no surprise to him.
“We’re tight. We probably played 80 7-on-7 games this offseason,” Martinez said on how the connection was built.
The composed QB delivered five touchdown passes from the pocket before calling it a night early in the fourth quarter, as he guided the Mavericks to a 48-6 victory over Science Hill at Kermit Tipton Stadium.
