Junior pitcher Atiana Stamper was in complete command Wednesday as host Halls took down Farragut 3-0 in the Region 2-4A championship game.
Stamper tossed a no-hitter, striking out 16 and walking three batters as the Lady Red Devils (30-7) won in convincing fashion.
Stamper said she was simply following the lead of teammate Emery Bales, who also crafted a no hitter in Monday’s 1-0 eight-inning win by Halls over Maryville in the region semifinals.
Stamper and Bales give the Lady Red Devils one of the best pitching pairs on one team in the state.
