MARYVILLE — It was bounce-back time Wednesday night for the Fulton boys’ basketball team.
After their first loss in almost a year, the Falcons (15-1) got defensive and rolled to a 67-52 victory at William Blount (15-3), which won 30 games last season and reached the Class 4A state sectionals.
“They’ve got a lot of offensive weapons,” Fulton coach Jody Wright said of William Blount. “There’s a lot defensively we’ve got to clean up, but this was a man’s game tonight. Just the physicality of it, the talent level of it, and I’m glad we showed up to play.”
