Bailey Burgess knew some of the Bearden girls’ basketball players when she joined the team last summer after transferring from The King’s Academy.
But she didn’t know how well she’d fit in with the Lady Bulldogs.
“They were so welcoming when I got here,” Burgess said. “We’re just super close. I think that’s why we have a lot of success, just because of our chemistry on and off the court. It’s like a family, honestly, on and off the court.”
Burgess is one reason the Lady Bulldogs are one victory from reaching the Class AAAA state quarterfinals next week in Murfreesboro.
