The Battle of Broadway between neighboring schools Fulton and Central lived up to its billing Thursday night.
Fulton, ranked No. 1 in Class 5A, had to dig deep to pull out an 18-9 win over host Central at Joel Helton Field.
Some thought the game had all the earmarks of a mismatch after Central (0-2) was upset last week by Tennessee High.
Falcons coach Rob Black wasn’t among them.
