LOUDON – Tyler Whitfield is a big guy, and he had a big Thursday night.
Loudon’s 6-foot-4, 275-pound senior defensive end/tight end got the first interception of his high school career.
He caught the first touchdown pass of his career.
He recovered a fumble, too.
And best of all, Whitfield was able to savor a 28-7 victory over visiting Lenoir City after this year’s version of the “Battle of the Bridge.”
“This is big,” Whitfield said. “Last year we didn’t win any of the Loudon County games. This year we’ve won both of ’em. It feels great.”
