Bearden’s Lucas Nordin recalls a quick conversation with his coach, Ryan Radcliffe, after the Bulldogs lost to Houston 2-1 in the 2021 Class AAA state championship, ending his sophomore season.
“I remember my coach telling me, ‘Don’t worry about this season. You’re going to be an All-American next year,’” Nordin said. “I was like ‘OK.’ We never had a conversation about it since that happened.”
Radcliffe’s words were prophetic.
