There were a few factors that signaled Tuesday could have been the end of Bearden’s 48-game win streak in girls basketball.
The Lady Bulldogs trailed entering the fourth quarter with their top two players in foul trouble.
Bearden was playing another state-ranked team in 4A in Heritage, and it was struggling against the Lady Mountaineers’ pressure defense.
Ultimately, the Lady Bulldogs showed why they are on such a long streak to begin with, rallying for a 54-49 victory at home.
