Amidst a sea of somewhat controlled chaos Thursday night, Bearden football coach Morgan Shinlever found a way to corral his players for a quick word.
He reached for his coach’s whistle and gave it a few blasts.
“Go to the band! Go to the band!” he directed.
When you beat your rival for the first time since 2012, the celebration can get a little hectic. But after the players and cheerleaders sang the alma mater and Shinlever gave his speech, the party continued at Bearden High School.
