Some 12 years ago, Chattanooga Brainerd entered the Class 4A playoffs with a 4-6 record and nearly came to Maryville and snapped the Rebels’ 40-game win streak.
Maryville survived, 30-26, and went on to extend their win streak to 74.
Even Maryville can get a first-round scare.
