ALCOA – Alcoa’s softball team stayed on its hot streak Wednesday, sending Farragut reeling on the downslide again.
Junior Gabby Burkhart fired a five-hitter and the Lady Tornadoes run-ruled the visiting Lady Admirals 10-0 in five innings.
“I just had a lot of confidence in our defense,” said Burkhart, who has committed to Montreat (N.C.) College. “We played really good this weekend. Our defense was really good this weekend, so I just put my belief in them to make the plays behind me.”
