Campbell County senior Saylor Hutcheson got an open 3-point shot in the first minute of Friday night’s game at Karns and made it.
On the Lady Cougars’ next possession, Hutcheson had another open look from 3-point range and knocked it down.
It turned into a big night for Hutcheson, who scored the team-high 17 points in Campbell County’s 67-46 victory at Karns.
Hutcheson finished 3 of 6 from 3-point range.
“It definitely helps my confidence seeing the ball go in,” said Hutcheson, who’s signed with Campbellsville (Ky.) University. “Sometimes I’ll drive and try to get some free throws to see the ball go in, then maybe take a few 3s, but I was feeling good tonight and took one right off the bat.”
Campbell County (9-0, 2-0 in District 3-4A) left Karns feeling pretty good.
