That won’t be the only televised game in town that night, as Bearden and Hardin Valley will play on “Rivalry Thursday.” Carter and Morristown West will also be playing Oct. 3, per CoachT.com.
But if watching next-level recruits is your thing, thing the Catholic/BA game is for you.
Obviously, the Fighting Irish boast a number of the country’s top players including: 2020 Under Armour All-American and Clemson offensive line commitment Bryn Tucker, Tennessee commitment and offensive lineman Cooper Mays and four-star defensive end Tyler Baron.
Sophomore athlete Tommy Winton has received offers from Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Virginia Tech. Catholic freshman wideout Karaaz Johnson has been offered by Georgia. And senior wideout Chancellor Bright is a Marshall commitment.
Meanwhile, Brentwood Academy touts offensive lineman Eli Sutton (four-star), guard Noah Josey (Alabama, Georgia offers) and defensive end James Stewart (Kentucky, Syracuse offers) from the Class of 2021. Devyn Curtis, who has five SEC offers, is the Eagles top prospect from the 2020 class and is a standout linebacker.
