Coach Josh Martin wants to revive the glory days of Catholic girls’ soccer, and so do the Lady Irish.
They’re on their way after Tuesday night’s 4-0 non-region victory against visiting Halls.
Catholic (5-1-1) has more than doubled its win total from last year when it posted a 2-12-4 record and went 0-4 in Division II-AA East Region.
“I think we’re playing really good,” senior midfielder Jenna Clements said. “I think that the team dynamic has improved a lot more from last year. We’re connecting with simple passes and we’re wanting it a lot more than last year.
“I think looking back, everyone realized last year was a time that we grew and this year’s a time that we kind of put everything that we worked on to work.”
