Central flipped the script from Week 1 in the turnover department and won the 58th Battle of Broadway in resounding fashion over rival Fulton on Friday.
The 5A Bobcats (1-1) forced six turnovers and blocked a punt in their 41-21 victory over the 4A Falcons (1-1) on Central’s Joel Helton Field.
In last week’s season opener at Greeneville, the Falcons turned the ball over six times in a 49-7 loss.
“We went from giving up six turnovers in Week 1 to creating six turnovers,” said Central coach Nick Craney.
But there was more to the winning equation than just turnovers as the Bobcats improved their lead in the all-time series (36-20-2), which dates back to 1951.
