It’s reckoning time this week as the top four teams in rugged Region 2-4A square off.
Anderson County (4-2, 2-0) hosts Carter (4-2, 1-0) in the Thursday TV game while South-Doyle (4-2, 1-1) travels to Fulton (4-2, 1-1) Friday in the other Region 2-4A headliner.
Depending on how the rest of the regular season unfolds, any of these teams could realistically finish anywhere from first to fourth in the ultra-competitive region – or miss out on the playoffs entirely.
Don’t count out Gibbs (2-3, 0-2) either.
The Eagles still have something to say about the playoff race with region games against South-Doyle, Anderson County and Scott (1-3, 0-1).
Here’s this week’s 5Star Preps high school football report for Classes 1A-4A in the area.
- Fulton ‘tough’ carries Falcons
- AC, Carter in Thursday TV tilt
- Oneida on a roll at 5-1
