Heading into the regular season finale in the topsy-turvy Region 3-5A Friday night, the Clinton High School football team’s task was simple: beat Karns on the road, and one of the final two available playoff spots in that region was theirs.
Lose, and it would be next spring before the Dragons’ footballers could again suit up to practice.
