Whether you know him simply as “Hutch” or maybe that coach who once stomped his cowboy boots against the hardwood, Mike Hutchens certainly developed his own various brands as a coach in Knoxville over the last four decades.
But his long tenure as a head boys’ basketball coach at Catholic is nearing its end.
Hutchens and the Knoxville Catholic High School announced Thursday afternoon that Hutchens will retire as a coach at the end of the 2021-22 season.
