MARYVILLE — It was a Friday night for the underdogs in the District 4-4A boys’ basketball tournament at Maryville High.
Fifth-seeded William Blount (22-9) and third-seeded Bearden (26-6) posted victories and will play Tuesday night at 7:30 for the district championship.
Bearden defeated second-seeded West 54-53 in overtime in Friday’s opener, followed by William Blount’s 65-52 victory over top-seeded Maryville before a capacity crowd.
