MARYVILLE – Score one for the Maryville girls in an early-season showdown of District 4-AAA basketball.
The Lady Rebels (8-0, 3-0 in 4-AAA) led by 10 points with 4 minutes to play and held on for a 54-52 victory over visiting Farragut (8-1, 2-1) on Tuesday night.
“We’re two of the best teams in East Tennessee,” Maryville coach Scott West said. “There’s a great chance we’ll see (Farragut) a ton of times.”
