Farragut’s basketball team survived and advanced in the District 4-4A tournament Thursday night, thanks to a big second half.
Junior point guard Parker Lane scored 21 of his 25 points after halftime, lifting the No. 4-seeded Admirals to a 69-53 victory over No. 5 Hardin Valley Academy, host of the tournament.
“All across the board, we had guys that contributed, and that’s what you need in tournament play,” Farragut coach J.P. Burris said. “They say, ‘Survive and advance.’ You’ve got to have several guys to help you survive and I feel like our guys did that tonight.”
