OAK RIDGE — After starting the season against some of the best teams in the area, Farragut High School’s defense came prepared for Friday night’s non-region rivalry game against Oak Ridge.
Behind three forced fumbles and two forced turnovers on downs, the visiting Admirals blanked the Wildcats 24-0 at Blankenship Field.
Farragut (2-2) was coming off back-to-back losses against West and Maryville, and gave up 40-plus points in both games. But the Admirals outscored Maryville 21-13 in the second half last week, and coach Eddie Courtney felt like the momentum carried over.
