Matt Mercer has made some difficult decisions in his professional career.
A coach’s life is full of them, especially when he changes jobs or schools.
But Mercer’s recent change — leaving First Baptist Academy in Powell for The King’s Academy in Seymour — took the cake on choice’s he’s wrestled over. Nevertheless, the 39-year-old is now the new president at TKA, leaving behind a vacancy at FBA for a boys’ basketball coach and headmaster.
FBA is early in the process of finding a successor.
