It became clear early in the high school football season that the collision course was imminent.
Eventually, we’d get to Powell vs. West.
The debate raged.
Which one is better?
The unbeaten Class 5A powers finally settle the issue at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Powell High School.
The Rebels are No 4 in the 5Star Preps Rankings while the Panthers are No. 5.
The Associated Press poll has Powell third and West fifth.
“It is kind of scary how parallel their season and ours have gone,” said Panthers coach Matt Lowe.
“How we both had close games early on and how we have both gotten better as the season has worn on.”
