The King’s Academy senior Regan Weekly was named Gatorade State Softball Player of the Year on Thursday.
Weekly led the Lady Lions to a Division II-A state championship for the third time in four years last week in Murfreesboro.
A Dartmouth signee, Weekly hit .566 with seven triples, 21 home runs and 70 RBIs while maintaining a 4.27 GPA. She drove in nine runs in five games at the state tournament.
With this honor, Weekly is now a candidate for Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year.
