JACKSBORO – Fulton made the most of the moment Friday night – just like Tommy Sweat has been urging the Falcons to do.
The junior quarterback was as happy and proud as anyone in the team’s upbeat gathering on Campbell County’s field following a 24-6 victory over the Cougars.
The victory added another week’s worth of possibility to Fulton’s season. Despite being 2-6 overall, a second consecutive victory evened the Falcons’ Region 3-5A record at 2-2. They have region games left with West and Oak Ridge and a chance to reach the state playoffs for an 11th consecutive year.
“It’s a new life over here at Fulton,” Sweat said. “We’re excited.”
