Troy Davis’ legs put in a full night’s work on Friday.
They carried the Gibbs High senior on sweeping gallops from sideline to sideline. They also took a more direct route at times, churning into tacklers and sometimes through them on forays into Campbell County’s defense.
In all, those legs logged 86 yards worth of effort and carried Davis carried into the end zone twice.
“They’re a little sore,” he said. “But nothing an ice bath can’t fix tomorrow morning.”
