OAK RIDGE – The Gibbs girls’ soccer team was fired up after Tuesday’s 2-0 non-district victory at Oak Ridge, but probably not as fired up as its coach, Jason French.
French, in his ninth year as the Lady Eagles’ coach, said Gibbs had never beaten Oak Ridge in boys or girls soccer before Tuesday.
And French recalls one of his girls’ teams losing to Oak Ridge 12-0 when they were in the same district.
