ALCOA – Gibbs’ Reilly Byers didn’t flinch when he found out he’d be pitching in Monday’s Region 2-AA elimination semifinals at Alcoa.
Instead, he delivered.
The sophomore left-hander fired a two-hitter and the Eagles (26-7) posted a 4-0 victory over the Tornadoes (25-12-1), earning a spot in Wednesday’s region title game and Friday’s state sectional round.
