The high school golf postseason has commenced.
And on Thursday at Three Ridges Golf Course, the CAK girls and First Baptist Academy (FBA) boys notched district tournament victories.
CAK senior Alexis Fishel took medalist honors, as her 77 — coupled with Grady Thomas’ 79 — paced the Lady Warriors’ winning 156 total. That mark proved 21 shots clear of runner-up Lakeway Christian, which got an 81 from Riley Reed. The Grace Christian Lady Rams finished third at 194.
On the boys’ side, FBA junior Lane Stokes posted the day’s only round in the 60s, firing a 69 to guide the Eagles to a one-shot victory over CAK, 294-295.
Comprising FBA’s winning score were: Stokes (69), Alex Green 74, Brady Morris 74, and Luke McGhee 77.
Grace Christian was third at 310.
Maryville Apostolic standout Collin Keino carded a 71 to finish as boys’ individual runner-up.
