GREENEVILLE – Austin-East weathered one storm, but not the second Friday night against two-time defending Class 4A state champion Greeneville.
After the Greene Devils jumped to a quick 14-0 lead, the 3A Roadrunners scored 14 points in stunning fashion in the first 35 seconds of the second quarter to pull even.
But it was all Greeneville from there on as the Greene Devils scored the next 35 points on their way to a 49-22 win.
