Scott Cummings didn’t need much time or much in the way of an audition to envision a role for Jake Parris.
Halls High School’s first-year football coach took all of about five minutes, by his estimation, to imagine Parris possibly having a night like Friday, when he scored four touchdowns in four different ways to lead the Red Devils to a 34-26 home victory over Clinton.
With the win, Halls improved to 3-0 for the first time in 22 seasons.
