Bryan Gordon’s gut feeling was that something good was about to happen Saturday night when freshman Aspen Calloway came to the plate in the seventh inning with the game on the line for Halls in its Class AAA sectional softball game against Morristown East.
With the game tied 2-2, Tanna Hensley doubled with two out and the Lady Hurricanes opted to intentionally walk Cassie Norris to get to Calloway.
“When they walked No. 44 (Norris) I thought, ‘you just put the hottest kid in our dugout at the plate,’” said the Halls coach.
