It was a tough Thursday night for first-year Lenoir City head basketball coaches Dylan Brewster and Shelley Collier.
Hardin Valley Academy didn’t show any mercy for the two visiting coaches. No reason. Brewster and Collier know how to win games.
Collier spent the previous 25 seasons coaching the girls at Webb School of Knoxville, where she won six state championships and had four runner-up finishes.
Brewster, a 2015 graduate of Lenoir City and former standout guard there, spent the previous three seasons as an assistant with the Panthers under head coach Josh Brannon, whose 2022-23 team won 17 games. And Brewster scored more than 1,000 career points as a Panther.
