JEFFERSON CITY – There was no shortage of talent on hand Thursday for the 4th Annual 5Star Preps Jamboree, presented by Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance.
For example.
Catholic’s Tyreek King and Greeneville’s Zaydyn Anderson showed whey they’re two of the top receivers in the area and the state.
King and Anderson are both big-play, Power-5 talents who should put up big numbers this season.
Carson-Newman University was the host for the final dress rehearsal for eight area high school football teams with the start of the 2024 season just days away.
Each matchup was two quarters long.
The first quarter was a standard 12 minutes with the second quarter 15 minutes with a running clock.
Most teams played their first units in the first quarter and then substituted liberally in the final quarter.
