NASHVILLE — Knoxville Catholic got its first taste of football in the TSSAA’s financial-aid-friendly Division II on Friday.
It didn’t taste very good, but the Irish will definitely be around for seconds.
“We didn’t start off the way we planned in Division II,” senior Tennessee commitment Cooper Mays said following Catholic’s 33-28 loss at new Division II-AAA East/Middle region foe Ensworth. “But I think we proved that we’re here to stay.”
