LENOIR CITY – The Cardiac Kids ran out of comebacks Friday afternoon.
Lenoir City fell behind early and never caught up, losing to visiting Upperman 6-3 in the Class AAA state sectionals.
The Panthers (23-10) rallied for numerous victories this season on the way to their region title since 1995.
“We call these guys the Cardiac Kids,” said Aaron Simmons, who completed his second season as Lenoir City’s coach.
