Lenoir City is looking for a sharp turnaround to its football fortunes in 2020.
Despite coming off a 1-10 season that ended with a 60-14 loss to Powell in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs, Panthers coach Jeff Cortez is upbeat that things can be much different this year.
“The heart and soul of our team is back,” said Cortez.
“The majority of our roster is (made up of) juniors – and juniors that played a lot last season. Every part of our football team is going to be improved, for sure. I’m excited.”
