MARYVILLE — It was the momentum shift Maryville needed.
After moving inside the Farragut 5-yard line on the first drive of the game, the Rebels were forced to settle for a Jack Cone field goal and a three-point lead. Farragut picked up 45 yards on its first four plays to move into Maryville territory before the Rebel defense held its ground.
The Admirals had two chances to pick up one yard, but came up short both times as they turned the ball over on downs. The stop led to a Maryville touchdown, and provided all the cushion the Rebels needed on their way to a 26-10 win in the Class 6A quarterfinals.
