MARYVILLE – Forget the regular-season losses.
The No. 4-seeded Maryville softball team was ready for top-seeded Farragut on Thursday night in the District 4-4A tournament.
Junior third baseman Ryleigh Maples went 4 for 4 with a double, homer, and two RBIs as the Lady Rebels beat Farragut 7-6 in the winners-bracket semifinals at John Sevier Elementary School.
Maryville (16-10) was run-ruled in two regular-season games against Farragut (31-3-1), losing by scores of 15-5 and 12-2.
