Farragut baseball coach Matt Buckner was a proud father Friday morning.
Buckner watched his son, senior shortstop Lukas Buckner, sign scholarship papers to play for Mississippi State during a ceremony at Farragut.
And seeing Lukas take the next step in his baseball career wasn’t the only reason Matt Buckner was proud.
Farragut’s baseball team had 14 other players sign scholarships papers – another will sign in December – making the Admirals’ Class of 2024 one of the most decorated in local and state history.
