Matt Grim took one for the team in sudden fashion on Tuesday night.
Powell High’s senior left-hander literally was hit hard by Halls’ first batter. Caleb Berry’s line drive ricocheted off Grim’s left thigh and caromed all the way past shortstop into left field.
“I could feel it right away; I was pretty nervous,” he said. “It’s one of those things you’ve got to kind of shake off. It was early in the game. You’ve got to get back on the mound.”
