DECATUR – There was a big question looming with the Meigs County football team this season: What would it do without quarterback Aaron Swafford, a 2020 graduate?
The Tigers (7-0) have come up with answers all season – never more emphatically than Friday night when they posted a 28-21 victory over visiting South Pittsburg.
“We always hear, ‘What are you all going to do without Aaron?” said junior quarterback Logan Carroll, who replaced Swafford this year. “Aaron was a great athlete and he helped us so much, but I think this year our coaches figured something else that will keep us going.”
