Catholic volleyball coach Brent Carter has led the Lady Irish to five consecutive state title match appearances.
Carter is keeping his fingers crossed he just gets the opportunity to make it six in a row this fall.
Tennessee governor Bill Lee recently extended his Covid-19 State of Emergency executive order until Aug. 29, 2020, nixing the first two weeks of the high school football season.
Even though TSSAA fall sports volleyball, cross country and golf were deemed “non-contact sports” and allowed to proceed on schedule despite the executive order, Carter said it’s hardly business as usual as the Lady Irish continue preparations for the 2020 season.
