ATHENS, Tenn. – McMinn County senior Jayden Miller lost the starting quarterback’s job when he dislocated his shoulder in a Sept. 2 victory over Rhea County in the third game of the season.
He didn’t lose his spot on the field, though.
After sitting out the week of practice, Miller was still at starting safety for the Sept. 8 loss at Bradley Central, but fellow senior Caden Hester was the starting quarterback while playing defense alongside Miller in the secondary.
They’ve kept those roles the past three games, including Thursday night’s 43-7 non-region victory over visiting Sweetwater.
