RUTLEDGE – Even with its star guard on the sidelines for the frantic closing moments, Northview Academy slipped past Grainger for the first time in program history Tuesday night.
Junior Reagan Brown fired in a game high 18 points to lead the Lady Cougars (5-1) to a hard fought 45-38 win over the Lady Grizzlies (3-3) in a non-district matchup of traditional 3A area powers.
Brown, who was 6 of 13 overall from the field and 4 of 10 from 3-point range, missed the final 56 seconds of the game after crashing into the bleachers while chasing a loose ball.
